Beatrice Rosen was born in the United States, in the state New York. Her family early moved to Paris, where she was raised. Becoming a professional actress had always been a dream, and she started to study acting already at the age of 10. Driven by an indefatigable work ethic and buoyed by soft features, luminous eyes and a dazzling smile, she quickly climbed the ranks in her home country – both on TV and in cinemas. She started out in various French productions, usually credited as nothing but “Blond girl”, “A student” etcetera. In 1999 she appeared in four French productions, one of which she had her first proper role in – “Manatea, les perles du Pacifique” as Pauline.

As her success grew, so did her desire to prove herself in Hollywood. In 2004, Beatrice took her acting to an international level, and starred opposite Mandy Moore in 2004’s “Chasing Liberty”. Later the same year, she won the role of Katie Winter in the WB series “Commando Nanny”. Despite having lived in France her entire life, this role called for her to play a spoiled American brat from Beverly Hills. Through unflagging practice, she transformed herself from une fille Francaise to thoroughly American. She was so convincing in her role that she soon landed recurring roles as Americans in popular TV series in 2005. She played a role in the eighth season of the WB series “Charmed” as the innocent Maya Holmes, which one of the three main characters unknowingly chose as her new identity after faking her own death alongside her sisters. The same year, she also appeared in the fourth season of the WB series “Smallville” as Dawn Stiles, a girl who desperately wanted to become prom queen.

This proved to only be the beginning of her career, as her filmography grew impressively the following years. Her growing resume and her acuity for languages allowed her to take the next step towards the truly international movie career she always envisioned. In 2006’s feature-length “Peaceful Warrior”, Rosen played a flirtatious college co-ed. In 2008, Beatrice landed a role in the billion-plus grossing “Dark Knight”, in which she was the vision of Moscovite beauty as a prima ballerina on arm of Batman himself. She also found success in the UK the same year, when she landed a role as a feisty, corset-popping, French beauty in the wildly popular period piece “Sharpe’s Peril”.

Her major worldwide breakthrough happened in 2009, in the $250-million Roland Emerich mega-film “2012”. She once again got to use her remarkable gift for languages, as she took on the challenge of portraying a Russian character. Beatrice starred alongside well known American actors like John Cusack and Amanda Peet, and went on to receive amazing reviews.

In 2010, Beatrice prove that she has got other talentes besides acting; both in the modeling industry, and as a singer. Since April 2010, Béatrice has been the worldwide face of the french luxury leather goods brand Lancel. As their worldwide face, she is following in the footsteps of Isabelle Adjani and Carla Bruni. The same year, she also appeared on the French artist Stan Les new album, “carnets de la vigie”, In a duet called Sensiblement Modifies. A while back, she also appeared in Stanislas’ first single Fou d’elle’s music video.

Next up for Beatrice, is the TV series “Harry’s Law” as Eve and Marilyn Monique, and as Sophie in “Guardian of the Harem”. Both projects are set to be released in 2011. Due to her gorgeous look, amazing personality, rare language gift and brilliant acting skills, it’s safe to say that we have only seen the beginning of Beatrice’s career.
